Meet Dr. Christine Luzuriaga

Dr. Christine Luzuriaga, M.Sc., O.D., F.A.A.O is an optometrist in our York, PA and Towson, MD locations. She has over a decade of experience in treating ocular diseases and fitting specialty contact lenses.

She graduated as a Calhoun Honors Scholar from Clemson University in 2006 with a degree in public health sciences. She then attended The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, where she completed a dual degree program receiving a Masters of Science in Vision Sciences and a Doctorate of Optometry, graduating in 2010. Dr. Luzuriaga then expanded her training in ocular disease during a residency program at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Thereafter, she completed the rigorous requirements to become a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.  

Dr. Luzuriaga views each patient as a unique individual who deserves to be respected and have their concerns heard. She enjoys working alongside patients to develop a treatment plan that works for their specific needs and within their lifestyle. To this end, she consistently pursues continuing education opportunities so that she can provide the best care possible. Although she enjoys treating most eye conditions, she has specific interests in treating dry eye, Fuch's dystrophy, keratoconus, uveitis, glaucoma, and fitting specialty contact lenses.

She lives in Carroll County, Maryland with her husband and two children where she enjoys baking, cooking, food photography, being involved in her church, and spending time with her family and friends.
